Technician Responsibilities:

Complete service and repair assignments efficiently safely and correctly.
Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
Work and communicate with foreman on vehicle repair status.
Participate in all required safety meetings.
When applicable direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed i.e. unusual problems or questions and explainprocedures to assistant.
Repair vehicles to factory standards.
Be able to use OEM software to diagnose problems.
Repair light medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
Keep track of warranty parts and turn in required parts for return to the manufacturer.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with employees and foremen.
Complete knowledge of in-house business systems and with business partner platforms.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

Technician Qualifications:

Team oriented flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Working knowledge of shop equipment.
Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
Maintain sufficient personally owned tools.
Ability to work independently.
Detail oriented and quality driven.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check physical exam and drug screen.

Experience in one or all of the following areas:

2 Years Experience
Tech School Certification
Vo-Tech Graduate

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
