Technology Support Intern (59149)

IT Technology Support Intern Summary:

As the Technology Support Intern you will participate in training and projects within various corporate information technology support functions: maintenance troubleshooting installation of personal computers and peripheral equipment etc. This full-time paid internship is based out of our Walsworth Overland Park Kansas office and reports to the Infrastructure Supervisor. This internship lasts 12 weeks with a 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with maintenance and installation of personal computers & peripheral equipment (i.e. printers barcode readers etc.)
• Assist with basic personal computer and networking troubleshooting
• Provide basic Microsoft Office application support
• Provide basic Adobe application support
• Provide end-user support for Microsoft Outlook products and functions
• Assist with corporate anti-virus protection system operations
• Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Basic understanding of IT support functions
• Understanding of Microsoft Office Outlook and Adobe products
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to remain organized and self-directed
• Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis.
• Ability to read interpret and follow verbal and written instructions work procedures and other related materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills via face-to-face conversation email and phone calls

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Must have a valid US drivers license and have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office location (required)
• May require a day trip to other Walsworth locations
• Completion of at least 24credit hours towards a related degree program (preferred)
• Experience in an IT support role (preferred)
• U.S. work authorization is required along with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
