Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Part-Time Kennel Technician to support daily operations and help care for dogs in a safe clean and positive environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals is flexible with scheduling and is comfortable with physical work. Hours will start minimal with opportunities for additional shifts and on-call work as business demands increase.
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize kennels play areas and common spaces
- Feed water and provide basic care for dogs as directed
- Supervise and engage dogs during playtime and enrichment activities
- Assist with general tasks as needed
- Maintain a safe calm and organized environment
- Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required
- Flexible and willing to help where needed
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to work safely with and around dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and follow proper safety procedures
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Ability to bend reach lift move and be on your feet for long periods of time
Job Type: Part-time schedule will vary and is adjustable weekend availability is a must
Wage:$10.85/hr.
