Description:

Florida Express Waste & Recycling is looking for asafety-conscious Diesel Mechanicto join our team inOcala FL. This position is responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment including electrical andhydraulic systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services on diesel trucks and equipment.
Diagnose issues using vehicle computer electronics systems and initiate or assign repairs.
Conductsafety checksand inspections on vehicles and equipment.
Complete requireddocumentationusingfleet maintenance software including parts usage and repair time tracking.
Review and complete repairs identified on DriverVehicle InspectionReports (DVIRs).
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

Schedule:

MondayFriday with occasionalSaturdays as needed

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Ability to lift50 lbs repeatedlythroughout the day.
Work is performedoutdoors in all weather conditions.
Exposure tomoving mechanical partsfumesvibration andmoderate noise.
Must follow allbasicsafety precautions.

Minimum Requirements:

2 years of diesel mechanic experiencepreferred.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical andhydraulic systems.
Familiarity withfleet maintenance softwareandvehicle inspectionprotocols.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and outdoors year-round.
