Lead Maintenance Worker

Underthe supervisionof theDesignated Program DirectortheLeadMaintenanceWorkerisresponsible forensuringall Mirror owned facilitiesand mechanical equipment containedwithin those facilities are in a safe and Staff person shalloperateinaccordancewiththe policies set forth by the Board of Directorsand as implementedbyhis/her supervisors and all parties involved shall abide by all applicable laws and includeoversight of Mirror properties vehicle up-keep conformance to life and fire safety codescompletingassistingwith over-sight oflarge scaleprojects trainingadditionalmaintenance team membersor scheduling of facility repairs andpurchasingof facility mechanical equipmentandsupplies.

DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintainclient/offenderandprogramconfidentialityasrequiredbyfederallaw.

1. Supervisethoseoffenders/clientsassignedtoassistyouwithbuildingmaintenancetasks.

1. UnderthesupervisionoftheProgramDirectorensurethesafetyoftheresidents/clientsandstaffbyensuringallMirrorpropertiesarefree frompotentialhazardsandmeetallfireandlifesafetycodes.

1. AssisttheProgram Directorwiththe maintenanceorschedulingof maintenanceforassigned locationagencyvehicles.

1. Under the supervisionof theProgramDirectormaintainfacilities and equipmentin a workable and .

1. AssisttheProgram Directorwiththeinventoryoffacilitysuppliesandthemonitoringoffacilityreportforms.

1. Priceandcomparepricesandavailabilityofpartsandserviceforeverydayfacilityrepairs/maintenance.

1. Under the direction of theProgram Directorkeep all buildings inspected and problem solve forcompliance issuesrelateto fire and life safety codes.

1. Assist theProgram Director and Chief Financial Operating Officerby keeping detailed records of service and/or replacement work on largeticketbuildingor outsidevendors (contractors)when theMaintenanceManagerisunabletodoso.

1. Purchase maintenance and operational supplieswith oversight fromappropriate facilitymanagement(facility mechanical equipment or supplies furniture fixtures flooringetc).

1. Designated liaison with government building inspectors (when we are building a new facility or remodeling or renovating an existing facility or parkingarea).May involve some interaction with zoning personnel at times.

1. Inspect jobs completed by contractorsand dofinal punch list for any new construction projectsfor designated area projects.

1. Train new maintenancestaffas necessary.

1. Be a point of contact for any maintenance related questions or issues in a designated area.

1. Oncallandavailabletohandleor answerquestionsrelatedtomajorfacilitymaintenance/operationproblems.

1. PerformotherdutiesasdirectedbyProgram Director or other management team members.

1. HighschooldiplomaorGeneralEducationalDevelopmentcertificate.

1. Vocational/Technicalcoursesand/orworkrelatedexperienceinbuildingmaintenancebuildingsystemsclimate/environmentalcontrolsystemsplumbingand/orlight electricalisrequired.

1. Experienceinsupervisingandinteractingwithpersonsaddictedtodrugsortheoffender/prisonpopulationwouldbedesirable.

1. Experienceinfacilitymaintenanceandvehicle maintenanceisrequired.

1. Computerliteracywouldbe a plus.

1. Goodreadingwritingandcommunicationskills.

1. Abilitytoorganizeandprioritizeandfollowthroughwithmultipletasksrelatedtothefacilityrepairsforamultiple-siteagency.

1. Capableofworkingover-timehourspast 40.

1. Availableon-callbasistohandlemajorproblemsrelatedtofacilitymaintenanceoroperation.

1. Awarenessofthediseaseofaddiction.

1. Must be able to pass background/securitycheck.

1. Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.

1. Thispositioninvolvesworkingclimbingstairsbendingshovelinglifting(orassisting)upto50 pounds.

1. Must be proficient in Microsoft Officesuite and Outlook.

1. Must be able to travel to the Mirror facilities in order to perform maintenance repairs on an as needed sites include but are not limited to Newton Kansas City WichitaHutchinsonand Topeka .
