Job Summary

Description

Summary of Position:

To provide preventive and reparative maintenance services to a manufacturing facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
Works with line operators to perform work when it least interferes with production needs
Identifies larger maintenance concerns and brings them to the attention of a supervisor
Assist with Line Down diagnosis and repair
Perform 5-S duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

Complete maintenance projects as assigned
Assist mechanics as requested
Perform basic repairs identified during preventative maintenance within guidelines
Perform intermediate or advanced repairs under supervision
Operate a forklift or other lifts within guidelines
Material handling. May deliver/receive parts outside of the company
Communicate with machine operators and supervisors on a regular basis
Do not perform tasks/repairs that would impact operations or create a line down situation

Mechanical Aptitude

Has a basic understanding of mechanical concepts
Has a basic understanding of electrical concepts
Can use and operate most hand tools
Exposure to welding helpful

Qualifications:

Experience in performing repairs in manufacturing plating or heat treat environment.
High School diploma or equivalent
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Forklift license
High attention to detail
Ability to create and maintain cooperative team building relationships.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
