Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
  • Repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors pneumatic tools robots conveyor systems production machines and other equipment.
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems including but not limited to three-phase motors start/stop circuits AC/DC drives running electrical conduit and read electrical prints.
  • Performing equipment installation PMs and completing assigned projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Technician will be maintaining & supporting all equipment in JIT Production Environment and other areas as required.
  • Complete all tasks work orders & PMs as directed by supervisor in a safe & timely manner.
  • Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
  • Perform repairs rebuild & trouble shoot equipment to ensure production efficiencies are met.
  • Daily record all line calls work orders PMs & work history electronically in eMaintenance System.
  • Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed (daily weekly shutdowns etc.)
  • Must be willing to work any shift on short but reasonable notice.
  • Must continuously improve and develop skills/knowledge.
  • Complete all other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor
  • Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear.
  • Maintain license to operate a Hilo Scissor Lift and Articulating Lift
  • Excellent attendance and steady work history.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Industrial automotive experience (Preferred).
  • Mechanical Technical & Electrical Expertise (Preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification (Preferred).

Job and Physical Requirements

  • The Maintenance Technician must be able to work on 2nd shift (Mon - Fri 2:00pm - 10:00pm).
  • Ability to lift 30lbs.
  • Ability to safely access vertical areas via stairs or ladder.
  • Ability to safely work with Power Tools.
  • Standing or walking 6-8 hours to assist production.
  • Bending Pushing & Pulling.
