Job Duties
Responsible for transporting Long Term Care residents along with emotionally disturbed patients to clinic locations.
Responsible for bank and Treasury Department runs for the Medical Center.
Acts as transporter for special Medical Center needs as instructed.
Insures that vehicles are operational and meet required safety standards in order to perform necessary hospital runs.
After regular inspections reports any discovered functional and/or maintenance problems promptly. Ensures that necessary repairs are made.
Reports to hospital on off-hour shifts in emergency situations.
Prepares and maintains vehicle maintenance reports and accurately completes the daily run log sheets.
Customer Service: respect flexibility knowledge confidence professionalism pleasant attitude patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timely professional caring and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations
Understands and adheres to the Medical Centers Code of Conduct.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and create necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.
Familiar with the Medical Centers Mission Vision and Values Statements.
Other Duties
Undertakes a variety of driving assignments as required.
Attends and participates in department meetings training sessions and workshops.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.
Position Qualifications
Current/valid New Jersey drivers license required.
Current NJ CDL license preferred.
Previous experience helpful.
Ability to drive standard shift cars.
Knowledge of basic first aid.
Basic understanding of patient needs.
Experience in customer service area.
Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Speaks reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Education
High School graduation or equivalent required.
Job Setting/Physical Demands
Contact with patients and employees at Medical Center as well as various medical personnel in other clinic areas.
Prolonged period of time in vehicle transporting patients.
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range
