• Level Descriptions:
• Level I Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate timely in the correct manner (i.e. verbal written email etc.).
• Level II - Consistently achieves all of the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level I positions.
• Senior - Highly experienced in the position. May act as a lead to assist others on very complex project tasks. Also provides mentoring and supervision when required on projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team with determining pricing and securing all necessary parts pieces and labor requirements.

• Fire Design:

• Product Selection: choosing the correct panels materials devices etc. with the best performance/cost ratio that meets the product specifications and project needs.
• Network Design: Honeywell (Notifier) and new product lines Climatec may acquire in the future.

• Project Cost Estimation: capturing costs such as material and labor
• Subcontract Procurement: scoping the job competitively with electrical and other trades
• Site Visits: driving to potential work sights and field engineering a system when plans are not available.
• Proposal Writing: effectively and succinctly communicating in report or presentation format the value proposition Bosch Building Technologies / Climatec extends to customers. This includes any procurement steps required to ensure successful delivery of the end product.
• Contacting Customers: calling emailing and visiting all existing and potential contractors engineers and owners that Climatec does business with.
• Contract Document Management: tracking down all the plans and specifications maintaining a record of all addenda and scope changes archiving information and summaries for project turn-over to operations.
• Project Management Assistance: being a liaison between operations and customer or contractor for coordination particularly as it pertains to potential for new or recurring work.
• Project Turn Over Meetings: presenting both the technical and intangible features of a project to the operations team. Ensuring that there has been a true passing of the torch right from the beginning of the job.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7 years of inside sales / estimating experience for fire and security systems - Other technical experience such as military on the job training programs etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management.
• 7 years of experience in fire estimating
• An understanding of basic computer systems including MS Office Suite of products.
• Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Mechanical Construction Management or other related studies
• 10 years of inside sales / estimating experience for fire and security systems
• 10 years of experience in fire estimating
• NICET certification
• NFPA 72 certification
• Field Experience in fire

Essential Job Functions:

• Be physically able to kneel stoop and crawl.
• Be able to lift and carry drawings personal computers material and spend significant time sitting etc.
• Be able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
• Be able to climb flights of stairs throughout a typical day.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record which per Climatecs vehicle policy if driving a company vehicle or participating in an auto allowance program.
