The role

As a Senior Software Developer you help shape the brains of these systems developing software that makes our drones smarter safer and more capable in real-world scenarios.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Core software development:

Design implement and test embedded and ground-control software for our UAV platforms.
Write robust efficient code using C Python or Go.
Contribute to high-level architecture and low-level performance optimisation.

System integration & testing:

Validate new features through log analysis simulation and real-world testing.
Develop and automate regression test plans to ensure code reliability.
Collaborate with hardware and flight test teams to ensure seamless system performance.

Code quality & lifecycle management:

Use Git for version control branching and code reviews.
Follow best practices across the full software development lifecyclefrom concept to deployment.
Maintain structure and clarity in a growing and evolving codebase.

Drive innovation:

Propose practical improvements to enhance performance maintainability and functionality.
Analyse and troubleshoot issues effectively based on both simulation and field data.
Adapt to changing project needs and technical challenges.

What you bring

A completed Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
57 years of experience as a software engineer or developer ideally in aerospace robotics or embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with C Python Go or similar programming languages.
A strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
Experience with debugging tools testing methodologies and automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
