In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring our environmental operations run smoothly while contributing to the overall success of Novonesis.

Welcome to Environmental Operations

At Environmental Operations we play a key role in treating the wastewater and biomass produced by Novonesis and Novo Nordisk. Our goal is to ensure that production runs seamlessly while meeting all environmental regulations for wastewater. Our state-of-the-art wastewater facility is one of the largest and most advanced of its kind and we are currently undergoing a significant expansionmaintaining operations while upgrading the plant. With a team of 70 skilled professionals including process operators maintenance technicians engineers and support staff we work together to ensure our processes align with the highest standards taking pride in delivering exceptional results.

In this role you will make an impact

As Finance and Management support you will be instrumental in managing the accounting for Environmental Operations handling the wastewater service level agreement with Novo Nordisk and participating in budget and forecasts related to production costs. You will conduct cost analysis and provide input for the Business Performance Review while also supporting stakeholders from both Novonesis and Novo Nordisk.

Additionally you will act as a Super User for SAP OneMS and other systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

In addition some of your key tasks will include:

Running standard financial processes including budgeting
Organizing stakeholder meetings
Providing support for the Environmental Operation management group
Leading improvement processes in Environmental Operation accounting and follow-up systems
Supporting the Head of Environmental Operation
Conducting environmental reporting to authorities Novo Nordisk and Novonesis

Collaboration is key in this role as you will work closely with various stakeholders including Novonesis site Kalundborg management Novonesis finance Novo Nordisk Kalundborg management Novo Nordisk finance Kalundborg Utilities and Kalundborg Bioenergy. Your ongoing contact and follow-up will be essential in maintaining effective partnerships.

To succeed you must hold:

A Bachelors degree in finance or economics
Experience as a cost accountant
Proven experience in similar roles within industries that require high levels of stakeholder engagement and teamwork
Proficiency in Danish and English

Additionally we expect you to possess a positive can-do mindset the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and a structured approach to work. You should enjoy problem-solving and be keen to discover new ways to improve our operations.

From a soft skills perspective you will need to demonstrate a collaborative spirit adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement in your work. Your ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders will be vital in fostering a productive working environment.
