What are we looking for
Our office in Santiago is looking for anIntermediate Cost Estimator Engineerto lead innovative solutions and deliver high-quality projects for our internal existing and new clients. This role will build and strengthen commercial awareness and take responsibility for coaching and technically developing the team.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Develop cost (Capex) and/or operations (Opex) estimates ranging from Class 5 to Class 1 estimates.
- Perform unit price analysis.
- Generate deliverables with technical and formal quality in line with internal and client procedures.
- Prepare all necessary information such as Estimation Bases Capex reports Opex reports or any other required for each service.
- Knowledge of labor performance.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and material performance.
- Maintain a database for use in future similar projects.
- Knowledge of contingency analysis using Monte Carlo Simulation not mandatory.
- Clearly understand the scope of the service and the client.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Experience in workshop presentations with clients (Capex Opex)
What you will bring to the team:
- Professional degree in Industrial Civil Construction Engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Cost Estimation.
- Advanced proficiency in Mining Clients Estimation Templates; Excel preferably Power BI.
- Knowledge and skills in risk analysis and estimating softwares such as @risk cristal ball HeavyBid among others.
- Teamwork orientation cooperation and customer focus understanding multicultural work.
- Customer service orientation.
- Problem-solving focus with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience in cost estimation WBS development.
- Advanced English (mandatory)
