Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that proper quality control specifications standards and inventory levels are maintained.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must match all production shade for Dye Becks and Skein Dye.
- Change charts and setting temperature control becks each day.
- Responsible for operating the control clocks.
- Run dye orders according to priority dates.
- Must keep daily log on all dye lots.
- Responsible for the quality of yarns and carpets produced on the shift supervised.
- Maintain good working conditions in the production areas.
- Must fill in for Shift Supervisor when necessary.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Standing is required approximately 90% of each shift.
- Bending is required for yarn approximately 10 times per shift.
- Lifting is required of dye rolls and carpet samples periodically.
- Stooping is required for one minute intervals 25 to 30 times per shift.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and shade differences.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write and do basic addition subtraction division and multiplication.
- Must have prior experience in dye processes including shade matching.
- Must be able to operate lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to use scissors staple gun and hand trucks.
- Safety equipment must be worn as required.
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
