Oversee and organize the equipment direct team/staff and processes on a production floor related to direct team. Oversee routine production activities as well as acting as the first line of support for troubleshooting should problems arise. Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing employees to meet the objectives set by the Operations Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to meet the build plan daily.
- Lead Tier 1 meeting and resolve issues or escalate to Tier 2. Attend Tier 2 daily.
- Supervise daily production activities ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Continuously seek areas for improvement and to lead kaizens.
- Cell replenishment and cell bin sizing (with strider).
- Inventory signaling material put away kanban box execution identify potential shortages and other items owned by striders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering procurement and logistics) to optimize daily production.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and resolve operational issues related to your direct team.
- Monitor workflow efficiency identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Address any quality-related issues promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to keep machinery functional.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain product standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and perform any required safety reporting.
- Uphold 5S standards and lead 5S projects.
- Temp management including opening roles working with temp agencies.
- Manage resources effectively including materials equipment and personnel.
- Responsible for cross training and the training process.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate production staff including operators and technicians.
- Foster a positive work environment encourage teamwork and address performance issues.
- Organize training opportunities to enhance team skills.
- Manage and direct factory team members including operators team leads and repair technicians across multiple shifts.
- Provide guidance mentorship and support to ensure effective performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering manufacturing or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of1- 5 yearsof experience in leading people preferably in electronics manufacturing.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic production environment.
- Ability to influence others to accomplish work tasks and achieve results.
- Analytical mindset for process optimization.
- Effective communication conflict resolution and objective judgement are critical to success in this role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
