Custodian (Evenings)

Newman University is seeking a dedicated Custodian to help maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for our students faculty and staff. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting our mission and Catholic identity while ensuring our campus facilities remain in excellent condition.

Work Performed:

• Perform general custodial duties in classrooms offices restrooms and common areas.
• Empty trash clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies.
• Sweep mop vacuum and maintain floors; buff and wax as needed.
• Clean surfaces windows mirrors and fixtures.
• Assist with event setup and furniture moves.
• Follow all safety procedures and complete required trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals; ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. push/pull up to 100 lbs. and perform tasks involving bending kneeling and stair climbing.
• Reliable transportation punctuality and ability to work independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
