Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry
Location: Bronx NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week
Hours per Week: 34.5
Pay Rate (Local): $68 $71 per hour (Maximum)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry for a 14-week night-shift contract assignment at a large acute care hospital in the Bronx NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
At least 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Ability to work independently and manage patient care during night shifts in an acute care environment
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Primary Source Verification of RN license via NYSED
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy as required
Assist with conscious sedation procedures when applicable
Accurately document patient assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Adhere to hospital policies safety standards and quality improvement guidelines
