Job Summary

Comets Crew Leader - *Undergraduate Students Only*

**Please note this role is a temporary position and will be from August - September 2026**

Applicants pursuing the RA position are still encouraged to apply for the Comets Crew Orientation Leader role. However individuals may not hold both positions simultaneously.

A Comets Crew Leaders primary role is to guide first-year and transfer students facilitate Orientation Weekend activities and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Comets Crew Leaders will develop meaningful relationships with others and engage in leadership development opportunities and skill-building.

Essential Duties:

Serve as the first point of contact for new CSP students during Orientation
Lead small groups of new students through a variety of engaging student events and activities
Communicate with first-year and transfer students in a welcoming friendly manner
Create an inclusive and welcoming environment throughout Orientation by being attentive listeners
Provide helpful information for new students as they transition to the learning environment at CSP

Qualifications:

*Comets Crew Leaders cannot be an RA*
Currently an undergraduate student at CSP
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Have knowledge of CSP resources
Desire to welcome new students to campus
Be able to represent CSP enthusiastically and realistically

Length of Position:

Comets Crew Leaders must be available for the following days: August 31st- September 7th 2026
Student Leadership Day: Monday August 31st
Comets Crew Training: Tuesday September 1st and Wednesday September 2nd
Orientation Weekend: September 3rd-7th
Additional Orientation activities as assigned
Training dates are subject to change

To be eligible to be a CSP student employee one must:

Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
Have a United States social security number.*
Haveproper identificationas determined by Form I-9.
Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
Have declared a major at CSP.
For summer employment priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
