Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical / Surgical (Travel)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Day Shift 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Weekly Gross Pay: $1800 $2160
Position Overview
A hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting. This role requires strong clinical skills adaptability and prior travel nursing experience.

Unit: Medical-Surgical (MS)
Floating Required: Yes
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Patient Population: Adult patients
Common Patient Diagnoses
Post-surgical recovery
Abdominal pain
Cholelithiasis
Osteoarthritis
Fractures
Back pain
Morbid obesity (including bariatric surgery patients)
Equipment & Skills Utilized
IV pumps
Nasogastric (N/G) tubes
Feeding tubes
Medication administration and monitoring
Post-operative assessments and wound care
Accurate documentation and interdisciplinary communication
Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification (AHA preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience
Documented travel nursing experience required
Strong assessment time-management and floating capability
