MISimplementation Specialist -Job Description

Purpose of Role

TheMIS (Management Information System)implementation Specialistis responsible forthestrategic oversight implementation and day-to-day management of the groups MISiSAMSincluding its integration with third-party software across the region. This role ensures that all systems and data areaccurate reliable and aligned with academic administrative and regulatory requirements. The MISSpecialistcollaborates with school-baseddata manager andIT staff to deliver a seamless high-quality user experience for teachers administrators and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will also provide multilingual support ensuring effective management andassistanceacross schools with diverse language needs.

This role may require travel to schools and offices across the region as needed to provide ongoing support and oversight.

Key Duties and Areas of Responsibility

System Management & Operations

Oversee the day-to-day management and performance of the MIS across assigned schools ensuring smooth and efficient operation of student academic and administrative modules.
Serve as the primary point of contact between schools and the MIS central team for system updates releases and issue resolution.

Implementation & Projects

Lead or coordinate MIS implementations upgrades and integrations with other platforms ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
Collaborate with central technology teams to configure systems and workflows according to group policies and best practices.
Support the onboarding of new schools and contribute to system design and process improvement initiatives.

Support & Training

Providesecond-line support for MIS-related issues escalated by school staff.
Develop and deliver training and documentation to ensure end users are confident and self-sufficient in using the MIS.
Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with school leadership teams to understand operational needs and translate them into MIS solutions.

Data Management & Reporting

Ensuretimelyandaccuratedata entry validation and reporting forstudent attendance and academic information.
Assistschools in generating reports for internal use regulatory compliance and performance tracking.
Work with academic and administrative teams tooptimizedata flows and reporting processes.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Provide guidance and direction to local school IT or MIS coordinators.
Collaborate closely with the Regional Head of Technology toalign onstrategy priorities and standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement collaboration and user-centric service.

SkillsQualificationsandExperience

Skills:

Strong understanding of data governance privacy and reporting within an educational context.
Demonstrated ability to train and support non-technical users.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
Fluency in Portuguese and English isrequired; Spanish is highly valued.

Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegree inInformationSystems Computer Science Education Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

3 years of experience managing or supporting school MIS platforms ( PowerSchool EngageManageBac or similar).
Experience leading or coordinating MIS implementations across multiple sites.
