The Housing Coordinator is responsible for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining maintaining and successfully navigating stable affordable housing. This role works to ensure continued compliance with housing programs the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program and strengthen landlord and community partnerships and promotes housing stability in alignment with LADDs mission.

Summary
The Housing Coordinator provides coordination advocacy and support for individuals participating in housing programs including the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. This role ensures individuals remain in good standing with housing authorities assists with recertifications and transitions mediates landlord-tenant concerns and strengthens housing partnerships to promote long-term housing stability. This role does not determine housing eligibility or subsidy approval.
Essential Functions
Coordinate the completion of the HCV application and annual certification process
Build relationships between individuals local housing services support service or organizations landlords and members of the community
Provide the necessary guidance and support to individuals related to obtaining using and maintaining the housing subsidy
Commit to being part of a team that creates and sustains a diverse inclusive and equitable workplace culture
Assist with staff meetings
Ensure participants remain in good standing within housing programs by responding to special requests such as reports of change reasonable accommodation requests and other important request.
Assist landlords with the RFTA processes when needed
Audit staff caseload files to ensure accuracy
Ensure documentation meets CMHA HUD and internal compliance standards.
Regularly attend housing and landlord outreach events to strengthen housing partnerships and resources
Assist the Program Manager with housing-related issues and other needs as assigned
Correspond to general SOAR program inquiries
Run and review monthly KPI reports on housing stability compliance timelines and caseload activity.

Education/Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience in housing coordination customer service case management or human services preferred
Familiarity with subsidized housing programs (HCV preferred). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Basic computer skills required
Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work schedule is Monday through Friday and may include evenings or weekends as needed
Work may occur in office settings community locations and housing sites
Position may require travel to other locations and must be able to navigate community settings independently
Ability to engage in computer-based work and attend meetings for extended periods
