Prepare patients for visits by reviewing medical histories obtaining vital signs and ensuring comfort and privacy.
Support providers during exams symptom management visits and care discussions.
Perform specimen collection point-of-care testing and medication administration as directed.
Maintain accurate timely documentation in the EMR system.
Assist with care coordination follow-up scheduling and patient and family education.
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to provide seamless compassionate support to patients and families.
Certification Required Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
Relevant Experience Previous experience in palliative care hospice oncology primary care or another specialty clinic preferred.
Clinical Skills Proficiency with vital signs injections specimen processing point-of-care testing and EMR documentation.
Compassion & Professionalism Ability to provide calm empathetic support while maintaining professionalism and respect.
Team Collaboration Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team.
