Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry heritage wildfire planning and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Junior Archaeologist Co-Op Student to our Heritage team for 2026.
Responsibilities:
As a Junior Archaeologist you will be responsible for the following:
- Practice archaeological excavation techniques using digital archaeological site-recording practices and regulatory archaeological practices
- This is a field based role working on archaeological excavations field surveys impact statements and community orientated projects
- Work alongside First Nations archaeologists technicians and Knowledge Keepers throughout the Southern Interior
Qualifications and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in Anthropology First Nations & Indigenous Studies Geography or Earth Sciences
- Willingness to work in close collaboration with First Nations
- Interest in working in anti-colonial business perspectives
- Experience working outdoors or hobbies related to outdoor activities
- Familiarity with syilx Secwépemc Sinixt and/or Nlakapamux cultural heritage is considered an asset
