Job Summary: The Post Partum/Mother Baby Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns. This role supports maternal recovery newborn care and family education in an inpatient Mother Baby setting.

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns including assessments and monitoring.
Support maternal recovery and newborn transition following delivery.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
Perform IV therapy and assist with procedures as needed.
Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care.
Document nursing care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child nursing experience Required
IV insertion and phlebotomy experience Required (2 years)
Conscious sedation experience Required (2 years)

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required

Certifications
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required (except Bellevue)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required

License
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
Primary Source Verification through NYSED Required
