Our Team & Purpose
Our overall purpose in H&R Block Global Technology Centre Ireland is to build confidence in H&R Block products by driving quality and efficiency through our Process Governance and Product Certification practices and supporting our overall Enterprise Priority which is to provide an exceptional customer experience through reliable systems consistent delivery and innovative solutions. We do this by ensuring adherence to Quality Standards providing transparency on the quality of our products and insights to trends in quality through product reviews and audit and partnering with product squads and leaders across the Organization. We aim for operational excellence having a DevOps culture with an agile based development culture.
What is the opportunity
Reporting to the Manager - Technology we are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer with previous experience to join our team and contribute to building scalable maintainable and well-documented UI components within a modern design system. This role involves close collaboration with designers and developers to ensure consistency and quality across our applications.
In this role you will
Develop reusable UI components using StencilJS and Angular within an NX Monorepo architecture.
Implement design tokens and maintain consistency using Amazon Style Dictionary.
Collaborate with UX/UI teams to translate designs from Figma into functional components.
Write clean maintainable code in TypeScript (TSX) HTML (TSX) and SCSS.
Document components and usage patterns using StorybookJS.
Ensure accessibility performance and responsiveness across all components.
Participate in code reviews testing and continuous integration workflows.
Who you are
Bachelors degree qualified in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
3 years experience as a Front End Engineer in a cloud/platform engineering or DevOps environment.
Demonstrable experience with design systems and component libraries.
Familiarity with DevOps principles CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Working experience with or strong knowledge of:
Figma
Amazon Style Dictionary

StorybookJS
Angular
NX Monorepo
