Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled responsible and safety-conscious Driver with a minimum of 2-3 years of professional driving experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passenger(s) adhering to traffic laws maintaining the vehicle in good condition and providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safe Transportation of Passengers
o Operate the car/bus in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
o Follow designated routes and schedules.
o Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection
o Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires brakes fuel lights etc.).
o Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately.
o Ensure the car/bus is clean fueled and ready for operation.
3. Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
o Adhere to all traffic laws regulations and company policies.
o Maintain accurate logs of trips mileage and fuel consumption.
o Ensure all required documents (license insurance permits) are valid and present.
4. Passenger Service & Communication
o Assist passengers with boarding and exiting when necessary.
o Communicate delays schedule changes or important information clearly and politely.
o Handle passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
5. Safety & Emergency Response
o Ensure all safety equipment is available and functional (fire extinguisher first aid kit etc.).
o Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents breakdowns or medical incidents.
Requirements:
Age: Between 30 - 40 years
Experience: Min of 2-3 years of proven professional experienceas a driver most have experience in driving buses.
Geographical Knowledge: Perfect mastery of routes traffic arteries and neighborhoods of Yaoundé. The ability to anticipate and avoid traffic jams is essential.
Driver's License: Should be valid. Category B.
Driving Skills: Perfect mastery of driving automatic and manual vehicles and buses. Smooth and safe driving.
Must have a clean driving record (no major violations).
Must be in good physical health.
