DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in overseeing bar operations ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising staff managing inventory and assisting with financial and administrative tasks while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:Guest Service & Beverage Expertise
- Answer guest questions regarding the origin vintage and style of various wines.
- Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
- Issue open and serve wine/champagne bottles professionally.
- Communicate last call at designated closing time and ensure smooth closing procedures.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Check quality and quantity of all stock and supplies; requisition as needed.
- Perform bottle-for-bottle liquor restock and anticipate replenishment needs promptly.
- Secure liquors beers wines coolers cabinets and storage areas at all times.
Cash Handling & Reporting
- Count bank at end of shift complete cashier reports resolve discrepancies and secure bank.
- Obtain change required for expected business levels and maintain security of funds.
Team Leadership & Support
- Assist management in hiring training scheduling evaluating counseling and motivating employees.
- Serve as a role model and ensure staff works together as a team to achieve service goals.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all company policies safety and security procedures; report accidents and unsafe conditions.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Professional Standards
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods.
- Move lift carry push and pull objects up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Navigate narrow spaces stairs ramps and uneven surfaces safely.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
