MRO INTERIORS TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision remove and / or install fabricated or OEM aircraft interiors including cabinetry components galleys closets divans lavatories side ledges bulkheads trim panels carpet and other similar accessories during completion or maintenance of VIP aircraft.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Install aircraft interior components.
2. Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure installed interiors meet the design spec quality standards and customer expectations.
3. Request material needs in a timely manner to ensure a continuous workflow.
4. Adheres to all required documentation regarding proper sign off component installation etc.
5. Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Comlux RSQM and all quality standards.
6. Follow all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
7. Intermediate knowledge of company installation procedures process specs IOPs etc.
8. Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE LICENSES ETC:
1. High School Diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
2. Advanced knowledge of the Interior Installation process as it specifically relates to the corporate aviation industry in a completions environment.
3. 3 years Interior Install experience preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
4. Ability to read write speak and understand the English language.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Strong knowledge and expertise with all aspects of the Interior Installation process.
2. Knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as they relate to Interior Installation.
3. Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by Comlux.
4. Ability to navigate read and understand the aircraft AMM IPC and any other tech data required to perform assigned tasks
5. Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The location where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which could be subject to weather / temperature changes and is subject to constant exposure to loud noise potential contact with hazardous waste material heavy machinery and other safety hazards such as cabinets etc.
