Job Summary

Position:Educational Support Professional Multi-LingualPosition Type: Full TimeLocation: Washington Street K-2 Elementary SchoolReports to:: Building PrincipalSalary: As per FEA ESP ContractThis position qualifies for town benefits including Health Insurance Location:Washington St. K-2 Elementary SchoolGeneral Description:The Franklin Public Schools a Prek-12 district is seeking a skilled and experienced multi-lingual education assistant to work at Washington K-2 School. The assistant will work in a model of service delivery primarily offering academic support in assigned general education classrooms. There may be opportunities for small group and individual instruction as well. Students requiring assistance and support have mild to moderate disabilities. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide executive functioning and positive behavior supports for students
Reinforce instructional materials and help students access the regular education curriculum
Work with lead teacher to provide academic social and emotional support and intervention
Work collaboratively with the team of general education and special education teachers and therapists
Collect and share data with special education liaison on student performance

Qualifications:

Associate degree or higher or ParaPro Certification preferred
Coursework in bilingual education preferred
Experience in public school setting
Experience working with children with a range of disabilities
Able to take initiative and work independently
Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
