Job Summary

Welder Millwright

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Millwright to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for welding fabrication installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude welding expertise and experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication using MIG TIG and Stick processes
  • Install align maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as conveyors pumps motors gearboxes and structural components
  • Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and make timely repairs to minimize downtime
  • Use precision tools for alignment measurement and layout
  • Operate hand tools power tools cutting equipment and lifting devices safely
  • Follow all safety procedures lockout/tagout requirements and company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects and maintenance tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
  • Proven experience as a Welder Millwright or similar industrial maintenance role
  • Proficiency in MIG TIG and Stick welding
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with industrial equipment machinery installation and repair
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • Willingness to work overtime weekends or on-call as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Millwright certification or welding certifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting
  • Experience with rigging alignment and precision measurement
