DescriptionAs a Technical Sales Representative you will play a key role in supporting our Area Sales Managers by engaging with prospective customers strengthening relationships with key accounts and delivering exceptional technical expertise. Your mission is to ensure customer satisfaction drive growth and provide innovative solutions across wood technologies.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure quality expectations are met.
- Provide hands-on technical support including plant audits troubleshooting and process development.
- Reduce customer complaints through proactive problem-solving.
- Contribute to achieving sales and margin targets while driving volume growth.
- Share competitive insights new product updates and market trends with the sales team.
- Stay ahead of industry developments by attending seminars and trade shows.
- Manage product trials at customer facilities and support specification approvals for national accounts.
- Collaborate closely with our European labs and technical teams.
- Assist with equipment installation and line modifications.
- Conduct technical training sessions at customer sites.
- Evaluate and resolve product complaints efficiently.
- Help customers prepare paint specifications tailored to their applications.
- Troubleshoot on-line technical issues including batch corrections and product formulation.
- Advise customers on product improvements and inventory management.
- Train customers on product knowledge and application techniques.
- Prepare samples and panels for impactful sales presentations.
- Maintain detailed records of technical service issues for follow-up.
Qualifications- Strong technical background in wood coatings or related industries.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with customers.
- Solid understanding and proven experience in the BENELUX industrial wood coatings market.
- Hands-on technical support experience for major accounts including automated coating lines.
- Familiarity with advanced application systems such as robotic autospray vacuum and roller coating.
- English French and Dutch are a must for this role.
