Position Purpose
Under the direction of a registered nurse the patient care technicianis responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific developmentalculturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean safe and conducive to patient/familywell beingincluding concepts ofrelationship basedcare.
Shifts Available:7:00 am 7:00 pm 7:00 pm 7:00 am
Status available:Full-time Part-time Contingent/PRN
Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per yearfor Full-time and Part-time team members.
Required Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Preferred minimum of one year ofpreviousdirect care experience (acute or long term) OR successful completion of CENA PCT MA or EMT course OR Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
Whatyou willdo:
Performs nursing care as delegated by the RNin an effort toidentify/attaintreatment goals such as:
Assistspatientin completing ADLs
Demonstrates sterile or aseptic technique asappropriate whenperforming delegated activities
Assistsinestablishingand maintaining a patient care environment that is clean safe and conducive to patient/family well being
Records patient information and required data inappropriate areasin order tomeet documentation and charging requirements
Completes delegated unit specific activities
