AECOM is actively seeking a talented Rail/Track Engineer - Civil  for employment within the New England region. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
• Prepares technical specification sections
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
• Perform civil design on a variety of rail/transit projects
• Preparation of design documents
• Develop specifications cost estimates and project schedules
• Prepare technical reports and analyses
• Develops estimates for the track engineering budgets
• Assists in determining schedules to perform track work
• Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work
• Develop Procurement specifications
• Perform field track inspections and develop criteria and testing requirements
• Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large size projects
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for specific area of expertise
• Reviews and approves track designs prepared by others
• Oversee and manage work within the ROW for multiple projects
• Work with other track staff to manage projects on the east coast and around the country
• Mentor staff

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience with commuter shortline freight transit and class-one rail projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) MA License
• Expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D Bentley OpenRail/Power Rail Microstation
• Knowledge of FRA DOT AREMA and local railroad/transit criteria
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Good client relations experience
• Ability to lead meetings related to track
• Local to Massachusetts
