Spring Lacrosse Coaching Positions

Positions Available:

• Girls Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach

The role of an Avenues coach is to instruct our student-athletes in the fundamental skills strategy and physical training necessary to realize individual and team success. At the same time the coach must provide a foundation for integrity pride of accomplishment sportsmanship self-discipline goal setting teamwork and self-confidence.

Head Coaches will (but not limited to): 

• Breakdown and teach the fundamental skills for players at all levels
• Attend all scheduled games and practices
• Manage and coordinate practice and game plans
• Be responsible for handling all administrative duties related to their team
• Attend all scheduled games and practices
• Attend all necessary athletic and school meetings and events

Practices are 1.5 hours and games are up to 2 hours not including travel time.  Varsity roles meet 4x a week  On game days athletes sometimes leave between 2:15pm - 3:00pm for so candidates should be available at this time to travel to away games with the team. Home games start between 4-4:30pm.

Qualifications :

About You

Coaches bring all or most of the following:

• Head coaches have 2 years of head coach coaching experience
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well with student athletes parents faculty/staff and the athletics department
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to get training before the season commences
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport with special consideration given to those having experience with the desired age category
• Enthusiasm commitment patience and a passion for teaching the game are essential to this position
• Ability to motivate and provide positive leadership to our student athletes by following our school and athletic mission
• High-level competitive playing experience (preferred)

Additional Information :

Coach pay rates range from $3000.00-$4000.00 depending on experience.
