Civil Technologist

AECOM is seeking a Civil Technologist to join our Regina SK office.

In this entry-level role you will provide essential support to civil engineering projects contributing to the planning design and construction phases. You will work both independently and as part of a larger project team gaining hands-on experience in drafting surveying construction supervision and project documentation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build foundational skills while working on impactful projects that shape communities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Technologist you will:

• Provide technologist and technician services to projects either individually or as part of a team.
• Support drafting and design activities for various civil and water resources projects using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist with preliminary and construction surveying including data collection using GPS Total Station Technology and conventional survey equipment.
• Perform construction layout surveys and provide construction supervision to ensure project specifications are met.
• Compile detailed reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Ensure project needs are met in a timely and effective manner adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and contractors ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
• Work in both office and field settings adapting to project requirements and environments.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• Completion of a diploma in an Engineering Technology program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collecting preliminary survey data using GPS Total Station Technology and conventional survey equipment.
• Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software such as Civil 3D.
• Sound understanding of drawing layouts using pre-established standards (e.g. text styles blocks).
• Familiarity with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
