The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for one (1) ESM Systems Administrator (Information Systems Specialist 5) position in the Information Services Division (ISD) Technical Operations Section (TOS).
This is a full-time permanent position.
This position is based at our headquarters office in Tigard Oregon. It is a hybrid working position with an occasional need to come into the office depending on business need.
This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

We serve the people of Oregon by administering public employee benefit trusts to pay the right person the right benefit at the right time.
Information Services Division (ISD)
ISD supports the Agencys mission by maintaining all information systems computers and communication networks. ISD enables PERS business units through the implementation of automation and technology to provide high-quality service to members employers and other stakeholders.
Technical Operations Section (TOS)
TOS is the information technology support element of the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System. TOS administers implements and manages the information technology infrastructure. The performance of this section affects all employees of the Agency and its external stakeholders. This section directly supports the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Systems mission by ensuring its information technology resources are available effective and efficient. This section also provides the services to manage the confidentiality integrity and availability of the Agencys information assets.
What you will be doing:
The Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Systems Administrator (ISS5) provides Tier III technical support for the following systems: IT Service Management (ITSM) IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT End Point management. This position will work with a senior role in planning design construction implementation and maintenance of the above systems and serve as secondary analyst for the PERS change advisory board (CAB) IT Metrics and Service Desk applications.

Minimum Qualifications
(a) Four (4) years of information systems experience in ITSM Systems Administration.
OR
(b) An Associates degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND
two (2) years of information systems experience in ITSM Systems Administration.
OR
(c) A Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field may substitute for all of the above.
Candidates who are the most competitive will possess the following skills background and areas of experience:
Public speaking or presentation experience.
Technical writing experience.
Technical process troubleshooting experience.
Experience in process design and improvement quality management and organizational change management activities including providing recommendations to leadership or management.
Ability to provide training and mentorship for processing change and release management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose and facilitate resolutions for high complexity incidents problems and requests.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with senior IT staff and management to develop policies and procedures and to meet short-term and long-term goals.
ITIL v3 or v4 training course completion; Certification preferred.
Preference may be given to candidates with current or previous PERS IT experience.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
