This position will be effective April 19 2026 and will be based at AgeCare Shawnee 50 Shawnee Street SW Calgary AB.

The Opportunity

AgeCare is seeking an experienced and dynamic Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our team. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for YOU to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

As an HCA you will work as a member of the care team collaborating on the delivery of resident care. The Health Care Aide under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse applies their knowledge and skills to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents.

What You Will Do

• Assists residents with activities of daily living and delivers personal care services in a manner that promotes choice involvement and participation to the greatest degree possible

• Assists delivery of meals housekeeping laundry and therapeutic recreation programs

• Be resident-centered in your approach and model our values in all your interactions with the public team members residents and their families

• Participates in the delivery of social recreational and therapeutic programs including group activities outings and special events

What You Bring

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate course

• Registered in the Health Care Aide Directory

• Fluent in English both orally and in writing

• Exceptional attention to detail and documentation

• Strong planning follow up time management & organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and remain flexible within demanding environment

• Demonstrates AgeCare values and an empathetic attitude and approach in working with others.
