The Medical Records Quality Assurance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the medical records delivered to customers are accurate complete and aligned with high-quality documentation standards. You will perform final-level quality checks on complex medical documentation sets ensuring that no errors gaps or inconsistencies are missed before delivery.
In addition to your QA duties you will work with advanced AI tools that generate medical chronologies summaries and case analyses. You will evaluate refine and correct these outputs based on your clinical understanding and documentation expertise. Your insights will directly influence improvements to workflows tools and AI algorithms used by the organization.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience reviewing medical documentation who enjoy analytical work meticulous checking and leveraging technology to improve healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance of Medical Records
- Perform high-level quality checks on compiled medical record packets.
- Confirm that records include required sections such as visit notes imaging labs and physician documentation.
- Validate chronological order completeness and overall clarity.
- Identify mismatched patient details incorrect page order or missing content.
AI Output Evaluation & Enhancement
- Review medical summaries and timelines generated by AI tools.
- Cross-check AI interpretations against source records.
- Update and correct summaries to ensure medical accuracy.
- Provide detailed feedback to help improve future AI performance.
Documentation Gap Resolution
- Identify missing components that require additional retrieval or clarification.
- Communicate findings to internal teams to resolve information gaps.
- Track patterns in missing documentation for reporting and improvement.
Operational Contribution & Processes
- Suggest refinements to QA standards and guidelines.
- Participate in updating SOPs related to record review and AI-based tasks.
- Support process optimization and tooling enhancements.
What You Bring
- Professional experience reviewing medical records or working in HIM clinical roles or nursing support.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology clinical documentation and healthcare workflows.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify complex documentation issues.
- Proficiency using digital tools document viewers and AI-driven platforms.
- Strong written communication especially for articulating corrections and documenting insights.
- Meticulous attention to detail accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards under volume.
