Veterinary Surgeon Locum Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Assignment Overview
This is a temporary locum opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to provide small animal surgery coverage during a maternity leave. The anticipated assignment runs from January 2026 through May 2026.
Clinical Setting
- Modern recently renovated specialty facility with continued expansion planned including increased treatment space additional operating rooms expanded exam capacity dedicated CT capabilities and upgraded in-house laboratory services.
- Collaborative multi-specialty environment with access to surgery cardiology internal medicine oncology integrative medicine rehabilitation behavior and theriogenology.

No after-hours or on-call responsibilities.

Candidate Profile
- DACVS residency-trained surgeon with a practice limited to small animal surgery or a highly experienced surgeon comfortable managing routine and advanced soft tissue cases.
Active New York veterinary license or license eligibility.
- Team-oriented mindset with interest in collaborative specialty medicine.
