FinTrust Connect has partnered with a leading specialty insurance provider that is seeking a senior-level Inland Marine Underwriter with deep expertise in Builders Risk and associated inland marine coverages. This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-growth commercial lines portfolio within a dynamic underwriting environment.

Requirements:
- 7 years of commercial underwriting experience including Builders Risk and Inland Marine
- Bachelors degree in Risk Management Business Administration or related field preferred
- Professional designations (AMIM CPCU CIC or ARM) strongly valued
- Familiarity with ISO forms contractors equipment installation floaters and transportation risks
- Experience with underwriting platforms like Salesforce Perceptive Concept or AS400
Description:
- Underwrite and evaluate new and renewal accounts across inland marine lines including Builders Risk property in transit and warehousing
- Apply appropriate pricing and coverage terms based on risk characteristics guidelines and market conditions
- Collaborate with Product Loss Control and Underwriting Assistants to ensure underwriting accuracy
- Maintain strong agency relationships and lead regular meetings (virtual and in-person) to promote growth and submission quality
- Contribute to the development of underwriting training materials and best practices
- Support internal teams through mentorship and knowledge sharing
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting inland marine insurance
