Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations driving sales performance managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in achieving sales targets maintaining operational standards and creating a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
  • Support inventory control stock replenishment and loss prevention activities

Sales & Performance

  • Support achievement of sales targets and KPIs
  • Monitor sales trends and suggest improvement strategies
  • Assist in planning promotions displays and merchandising activities

Team Management

  • Support hiring training scheduling and performance management of store staff
  • Motivate and guide team members to deliver high-quality service
  • Act as Store Manager in their absence

Customer Experience

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
  • Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business

Reporting & Administration

  • Assist with daily weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Support cash handling POS operations and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 24 years of retail experience including a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic MS Office
