Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations driving sales performance managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in achieving sales targets maintaining operational standards and creating a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
- Support inventory control stock replenishment and loss prevention activities
Sales & Performance
- Support achievement of sales targets and KPIs
- Monitor sales trends and suggest improvement strategies
- Assist in planning promotions displays and merchandising activities
Team Management
- Support hiring training scheduling and performance management of store staff
- Motivate and guide team members to deliver high-quality service
- Act as Store Manager in their absence
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
- Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
Reporting & Administration
- Assist with daily weekly and monthly sales reports
- Support cash handling POS operations and end-of-day reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 24 years of retail experience including a supervisory role
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic MS Office
