On behalf of Geraci LLP we are seeking a Mid-Level Transactional Lawyer (Real Estate & Finance) with three to five years of practice experience. The ideal candidate has strong drafting and transactional skills a solid understanding of real estate finance and a desire to grow within a fast-paced private-lending-focused legal practice. This role offers a balance of independent work and collaborative client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Work

Draft review and negotiate loan agreements security instruments and related real estate finance documents.
Assist in structuring and closing real estate finance transactions with oversight and guidance from senior attorneys.
Conduct due diligence on properties borrowers and financing structures.

Advisory & Compliance

Provide legal support on real estate financing structures and private lending matters.
Research and summarize relevant regulatory requirements with support from senior attorneys.
Monitor legal developments in real estate finance and report key updates to senior team members and clients.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams clients lenders and external counsel to support smooth transaction workflows.
Communicate legal concepts clearly and professionally tailoring explanations to business needs.
Contribute to building strong client relationships through responsiveness and reliable execution.

General Legal Support

Provide assistance on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Support senior leadership with research documentation and general legal tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited American law school.
Bar Admission (required): Must be admitted to practice law in California U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
3-5 years of legal experience with exposure to transactional real estate finance or commercial lending.
Proven ability to draft review and negotiate complex agreements with precision.
Strong analytical organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Able to work independently while maintaining momentum and managing multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with professional maturity and a growth-oriented mindset.
Two professional references and a valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days are required for all successful applicants.
Completion of intake paperwork including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g. Social Security Number Social Insurance Number or the countrys equivalent) is required prior to onboarding.

Working Hours:
Full Time (40 hours per week)
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time with additional hours as necessary
