CommonSpirit St. Josephs Children Adult Sobriety Program is located in Albuquerque New Mexico. CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Licensed Counselors at the St. Josephs Sobriety Program provide individual and group counseling services to adults participating in alcohol and/or drug addiction. This role includes responsibility for conducting intake assessments developing treatment plans and facilitating trauma-informed evidence-based care. Counselors also support family engagement parenting education and coordination of wraparound services within a collaborative team environment.

Job Requirements
- Conduct initial intake assessments to determine the appropriate level of care using the ASAM criteria.
- Develop individualized strengths-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide weekly individual and group counseling services utilizing evidence-based approaches including CRA CBT and MI.
- Facilitate parenting relapse prevention and recovery-focused group sessions.
- Support 12-Step recovery participation and facilitate or refer to Al-Anon-informed groups.
- Complete clinical documentation progress notes treatment plans and discharge summaries in accordance with NMAC and Medicaid standards.
- Collaborate with case managers peer support staff and community partners to coordinate holistic care.
- Provide crisis intervention safety planning and referrals to higher levels of care as needed.
- Participate in weekly case reviews staff meetings and clinical supervision.
- Ensure culturally competent family-centered service delivery aligned with trauma-informed principles.
Qualifications:
- Credential: LADAC required. LPCC LISW LMHC or LMSW preferred.
- BILINGUAL - Spanish/English
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology or a related behavioral health field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of clinical experience in substance and/or alcohol addiction.
