Job Summary

Program Director Homeless Services

Brooklyn NY

Salary 95k to 105k

Summary:

Oversee the daily operational and social services management of the shelter site. This position will ensure the delivery of quality services to all clients on a 24-hour basis as per the approved DHS policies procedures and standards.

Responsibilities:

Vetting training oversight of daily operations and contract compliance or reporting for shelter
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to vet credential equip/supply and conduct training for all shelter personnel in providing exceptional shelter support that is culturally competent for all guests
Flexible hours are required with the need for 24/7 emergency availability rotating with team members
Improve programs and processes to build systems of finding permanent housing
Maintain standards of HIPAA compliance with all client communications
Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and keep us up to date with changes required/recommended in the shelter operations.
Ensure that charts and recording systems meet proper service control and standards including DHS OTDA and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Masters Degree preferably in Social Work Psychology Human Service or related field with DHS experience for Tier 2 and migrant site experiences
Minimum five years experience in supervision or management
Minimum five years experience in a residential agency or DHS licensed facility.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all populations served with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity.
Strong knowledge of CARES
