Job Title: IBM iSeries (AS/400)SME

Location: Franklin Lakes NJ 07405:: Onsite - Hybrid/weekly Basis

Job Description:

An IBM iSeries SME (Subject Matter Expert) is responsible for the design implementation and support of IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems ensuring high availability performance and compliance across enterprise environments.

System Engineering & Administration:
- Install configure and maintain IBM iSeries hardware and OS.
- Apply system updates including PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes) CUMs (Cumulative Updates) and IPLs (Initial Program Loads).
- Monitor and tune system performance.
- Manage virtualization through PowerVM.
Job Scheduling & Automation:
- Implement IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) for batch job automation.
- Design job flows with dependencies error handling and runtime parameters.
Security & Compliance:
- Conduct system audits.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and disaster recovery standards.
Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide L3/L4 support for iSeries environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware OS and application-level issues.
