As theSeniorWindows Administrator you will be a part of a global team responsible for the management and monitoring of a large number of Windows systems in all regions of the world. Core functions for this role include management of server and storage systems issue resolution patching management of new installations upgrades and migrations.
This role includes responsibilities for interacting with internal customers at ISSSTOXX.
Hands-on operational activities:
Install configuretestandmaintainclient and server systems application software serverapplicationsand system management tools
Install and upgrade infrastructure systems and processes
Manage andmonitorall installed systems and infrastructure including hybrid environments.
Proactively ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability
Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
Contribute to technical decisionmaking offering pragmatic input that balances best practice with business realities
Participate in oncall rotations and afterhours support taking responsibility for service restoration and clear communication during incidents
Lead or contribute to postincident reviews with a focus on prevention system resilience and service improvement
Participate in scheduled patching and maintenance activities including coordination execution validation and postmaintenance support
Cloud and virtualisation:
Administer and support GCP services including Compute Engine Cloud IAM and other relevant services
OptimiseVMware environments to ensure efficient resourceutilisationand system availability
Support and evolve hybrid infrastructureleveragingGoogle Cloud Platform contributing to cloud adoption migration or optimisation initiatives
Automation:
Develop andmaintainPowerShell and batch scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks reduce manual effort and improve system consistency
Identifyopportunities to streamline operational processes through automation documentation and tooling improvements
Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure standards runbooks and operational best practices
BAin Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
5 years of proven experience with Windows administration and support
Working knowledge of Windows Server technologies (such as Active Directory DNS DHCP and File/Print services)
Basic to Intermediate scripting skills using batch scripts andPowerShell
Working knowledge of standard Windows security methodologies hardening procedures and best practices
Excellent communication & documentation skills both in technical and non-technicalareas
Ability to work with a global support teamincluding ticket management applications such as Jira and ServiceNow
Hands-on experiencewith the VMWare environmentand general principles of virtualisation
Hands-on experiencewithCloud computingespeciallyGoogle Cloud Platform
Familiarity with backup needs and approaches
Abilityand willingness for on-call and after-hours work
Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
Basic familiarity with Linux
Knowledge of storage systems and management
