Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our high school team. The ideal candidate will specialize in either Life Science (e.g. Biology Environmental Science Anatomy) or Physical Science (e.g. Chemistry Physical Science or Physics) teaching students in grades 9-12. This individual will play a key role in fostering curiosity critical thinking and a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging standards-aligned lessons in Life Science or Physical Science for students in grades 9-12.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies including hands-on experiments labs and technology integration to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments projects quizzes and exams providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Support school initiatives and participate in extracurricular activities or clubs as needed.
Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate. Any applicant who holds an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.
Salary ranges from a minimum ($52020) to a maximum ($74777) - based on the 2025/26 salary schedule for a 190-day contract. Salary is based on experience. A complete salary schedule can be found on our school website.
