Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description
Position Overview: RBTs play a critical role in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by BCBAs to improve socially significant behaviors in clients often focusing on individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or other developmental disorders.
Have the passion to make a difference in a childs life
Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions based on the BCBAs treatment goals and objectives.
Use evidence-based techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
Collect accurate and reliable data during sessions to track client progress.
Maintain thorough up-to-date records and session notes in compliance with organization and regulatory standards.
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Utilize reinforcement strategies to encourage positive behavior changes.
Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients and their families.
Provide feedback and updates to caregivers regarding session outcomes when directed by the BCBA.
Collaborate closely with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent treatment delivery.
Attend regular training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and maintain RBT certification requirements.
Uphold the BACBs Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Registered Behaviors.
Maintain client confidentiality and ensure safety during all sessions.
Uphold RightStart Therapy Services Inc polices procedures standards of conduct.

Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree and/or additional coursework or experience in psychology education or related fields is a plus.
Certification: Active RBT certification from the BACB (or ability to obtain).
Experience: Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disorders preferred but not required.
Physical: Ability to lift move pull/push individuals who may weigh up to 60lbs. Physical ability to engage in active play and interventions (e.g. bending kneeling running).
Mental: Ability to effectively problem solve and handle challenging behaviors in a calm manner as prescribed by behavior plans and techniques in applied behavior analysis.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Patience empathy and a positive attitude.
Organizational skills for detailed data tracking.
Time management skills for submitting session notes evaluations promptly.
