Job Summary
Occupational Therapist School-Based
Location: Thornton CO
Duration: 18 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 58 Hours (08:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $48$58 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services across two school sites. This role primarily supports an elementary school population with limited high school support through indirect services. The ideal candidate is collaborative organized and experienced in managing school-based caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services in school settings aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
Deliver primarily direct services to elementary students (Pre-K through 5th grade)
Provide indirect services to high school students as required
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Support student development in fine motor skills sensory processing self-care and classroom participation
Collaborate with teachers special education teams administrators and families
Participate in IEP meetings assessments and progress reviews
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district state and federal regulations
Effectively manage and organize caseloads across multiple school sites
Communicate with district support staff to ensure continuity of care
Adhere to district policies and ethical standards for school-based therapy services
Requirements
Special Services Provider (SSP) License issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Must be in hand
Previous school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
Ability to manage both direct and indirect service delivery models
Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills
