LPN - ELIGIBLE FOR A $3000 SIGN-ON BONUS.

To be eligible for a sign-on bonus the candidate must not have worked as a probationary permanent or time-limited employee under the State Human Resources Act in the last 12 months.

Salary Range: 39864 - 59797

This Licensed Practical Nurse position provide routine care and treatment of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within a state correctional facility. It also will be providing direct nursing care to patients within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following duties:

• Demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing and skills attendant to its practice
• Screening observing and assessing patients
• Providing basic wound care and personal care to patients
• Delivering routine respiratory therapy and other treatments catheter and colostomy care collecting vital signs and specimens preparing and administering medications administering/interpreting TB skin tests
• Observing and recording pertinent patient information
• Responding to emergencies
• Assisting the Registered Nurse and Physician

**This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) withState Benefits.

    Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

    Note:Must be licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina or in participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. If possessing a single state LPN license from a state other than North Carolina MUST apply and receive at a minimum a Temporary License to practice in NC prior to hire date.
