Your role

As a VHDL / FPGA Design Engineer you will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for the development of advanced communication products within the RF chain. These solutions operate in highly demanding environments such as scientific missions aviation and space. Your work will cover a broad range of equipment including high-speed data receivers telecommand and telemetry baseband modems RF frequency converters digitizers and more.

You will be involved from concept to implementation contributing your expertise to innovative high-reliability systems with international reach.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement FPGA building blocks using VHDL
• Run and analyze simulations synthesis flows and ensure timing closure
• Define structure and document FPGA and system architectures
• Validate FPGA designs through unit-level and local functional testing
• Help define and execute verification strategies test plans and procedures
• Support system-level integration by analyzing issues and resolving defects
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing by participating in conferences and presenting technical work

Your profile

• Masters or PhD degree in Electronics or equivalent professional experience
• Solid expertise in digital communication architectures
  (including modulation/demodulation filtering interpolation/decimation and coding techniques)
• Strong command of VHDL-based FPGA development
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGA technologies
• Familiarity with high-speed data interfaces is considered a strong advantage
• Experience with Linux kernel or device driver development is a plus
• Comfortable creating clear and structured technical documentation
• Self-driven collaborator with a proactive mindset accountability and engagement

Work authorization

Candidates must hold a valid work permit allowing them to work in Belgium.
